The Hawg Pit BBQ Barn, Inc. was opened in April
2009 by Steve "Quincy" Kasten. Steve’s passion for cooking and love of the little river town of Grafton, Illinois' along with the support of all the friends who enjoy his
cooking gave him the idea of opening the
“Hawg Pit BBQ Barn”.
The building was the former Cassen’s Bait Shop
for many years and needed a lot of changes to
make it what it is today!
History still lives in many items at the “Hawg Pit”.
The bar is made of planks
from the gymnasium floor of the old Grafton
Elementary School . The stone around
the fire pit comes from the Grafton Quarry
(currently the home of the Visitor's Center).
Steve and his staff want to thank everyone involved in getting the Hawg Pit BBQ Barn, Inc. ready for you to enjoy and we thank you for visiting.
